Welcome to AI Fashion Lab
AI Fashion Lab provides costume services for the television and film industry. Alongside this professional work, the project also contributes to the exploration of how artificial intelligence may be applied to the preservation and restoration of historical photographs. This digital work is not intended as a commercial business model but is undertaken as an independent research-based study within the fields of digital heritage, visual historiography, and historical dress studies.
Rooted in costume scholarship, the work focuses on archival restoration, historical dress reconstruction, and the reactivation of cultural memory through carefully researched digital processes. With a particular focus on Thai court portraiture, historical fashion, and monastic heritage, each project is approached through archival investigation, textile study, and period-accurate costume analysis. Artificial intelligence is employed as a conservation tool that supports historical inquiry rather than replacing it, allowing fragile or monochrome images to be carefully interpreted and digitally restored.
The digital work is contributed freely, without financial remuneration or commercial invoicing, and is developed as an independent research study exploring how emerging AI technologies may assist the preservation and interpretation of historical photographic archives. Through this approach, AI Fashion Lab bridges traditional costume knowledge with contemporary digital restoration techniques, contributing to wider conversations in heritage preservation, archival research, and visual culture.
